According to VirtualR.net Atari Germany has confirmed the release date of GTR Evolution.

“Atari Germany has confirmed the projected August release date for Simbin’s upcoming GTR Evolution simulation. German sim racers will be able to buy the game starting August 14th, which means that the game is little more than a month away.

Event though this information is coming from the German Atari division, it’s pretty likely that the release date for other European countries will be the same.”

From SpeedTv

“McLaren’s Lewis Hamilton brought down the house at Silverstone, spanking the competition en route to his maiden home victory in the British Grand Prix.”

“Hamilton crossed the finish line more than a minute ahead of his nearest chaser, BMW’s Nick Heidfeld, who equally didn’t put a wheel wrong in the chaotic wet conditions to finish second. The race’s biggest star besides Hamilton, however, was Honda’s Rubens Barrichello, who showed his usual wet-track prowess to post his first top-three result since 2005, when he was still a Ferrari driver.”

Also according to SpeedTv, Scott Pruett beat Alex Gurney in a sprint to the checkered flag to win Thursday’s Brumos Porsche 250 at Daytona International Speedway in the closest finish in the history of the Grand-Am Rolex Sports Car Series presented by Crown Royal Cask No. 16.

“That Pruett’s the man,” Chip Ganassi said. “This track rewards great drivers, and it did that tonight. Winning felt good here in Daytona (when Ganassi won his third consecutive Rolex 24), but it felt even better tonight.”

According to SpeedTv Felipe Massa says had no warning about the oil slick that sent him flying into the barriers in morning practice at Silverstone

The Brazilian said he had not been told by his engineer Rob Smedley that Fernando Alonso had stopped with an engine failure. The car was badly damaged by a heavy rear end impact at Stowe corner, where Michael Schumacher suffered a broken leg in 1999.

“I didn’t see anything and Rob didn’t know because there was no message about oil on the track,” said Massa. “I think they didn’t show properly [on the TV] if Alonso was stopping because of the engine or not. So when I arrived the track was clear and I just became the passenger.”

Found this AWESOME video tutorial over at NoGrip’s Forum.

This comes from Bahger and shows in great detail how to set up a car for Silverstone. Even if you don’t drive this car it is a very educational video showing what is possible if you know what your doing.
